What to pack for the race?

A triathlon can seem really complicated, especially as you have to pack for 3 events in one place. However with this list, it should make it easier for you to pack, and make sure you have everything for race day.

Must-Have Items:

  • Race day clothing: swimsuit and/or shirt and shorts. 

  • Swim

    • Official race swim cap

    • Goggles

    • Wetsuit if water temp is below 60.8℉ (per USAT Official Rules)

  • Bike

    • Any bike

    • Helmet

  • Run

    • Shoes

    • Number

Nice-to-have items: 

  • Race day clothing: tri top/shorts or tri suit

  • Sunscreen

  • Transition towel/mat

  • Fitness tracker

  • Swim

    • Pre-race footwear or sandals

    • Goggle defogger

    • bodyglide

    • Wetsuit 

  • Bike

    • Triathlon bike, road bike, or gravel bike

    • Aero helmet

    • Flat kit (tire levers, tube, CO2 cartridges)

    • sunglasses

  • Run

    • Speed laces

    • Hat or visor

    • Sunglasses

    • Race belt

  • Post race

    • Clothes (race t-shirt!)

    • Shorts

    • Jacket layer

    • Comfy shoes
